I've been a Buddhist for a number of years and have enjoyed the Zen path. I'll continue it. However, I am engaging in a new direction this year that will focus on my writing and teaching. Therefore, this Blog will change toward a more vibrant and creative style. I'll keep my prior Buddhist postings here...but the new postings will express my newly engaged path of wild-eyed and eclectic creativity!
The Zen poet Daito (1282-1334) captured the feeling of my new direction when he wrote: "It's over, the 'buddhas and patriarchs' disease that once gripped my chest. Now I'm just an ordinary man. With a clean slate."
So true. I am an ordinary man with a clean slate.
