I'm going to expand my blog from just the Zen essays and haikus to a more free-flowing wild-eyed, artistic, balls-out blog...in other words, I'll write whatever I feel like. ;-)
I have fallen deeply in love with a growing number of physically dead, yet ecstatically alive, poets. Have you read Hafiz? Rumi? Kabir? Meister Eckart? Francis of Assisi? John of the Cross? All men who danced with swirling stars and boogied with God. Ah, but the women poets! There, too, is exquisite artistry! Rabia of Basra, Teresa of Avila, Catherine of Sienna, and Mirabai wrote with such precise clarity and bliss that I could - if I reverted to judgmental thinking - find my own fumbling words to mere mud pies...but I don't. Their sublime cuddling of words shouts that we all should be doing the literary jitterbug when if feels right...and there are no wrong steps!
I am no longer than graying artistic-cynic who writes to convice others of my world skills. I write because it is such fun and I like what I write. And, you know, I like what you write too!
Why the "Of Stones and Starlings" title? Because. I'll write more of that on a later blog. :-)
